Chateau Ces't la Vie's - Spring Decor Updates

Its incredible how adding a bold accessory color in very little doses can transform a room from Winter Hibernation to Fresh and Elegant Spring. Take for instance my own Romantic/Traditional/Vintage esque Master Bedroom below. I decided to incorporate just a touch of one of my favorite accent colors - Fuchsia.

This accent pillow with a chandelier motif was only $14. Amazing how a little money can go a long way style-wise.

By adding this gorgeous Fuchsia accent pillow with a chandelier motif and a few fresh fuchsia flowers to the table side vignette the room suddenly transforms into an airy and Springy Retreat.

Moving on to the living room. I made a few very budget conscious changes here as well. Changed my previously dark cherry wood mirrors on this picture wall by painting them a Ralph Lauren Metallic Silver paint (only $11 a can) Risky to some, but I love the results, and the brightened and more modern finish and how they tie in perfectly to my mirrored table lamp.

And then, again, I always add a lot of design savvy and color with a bit of flower power. These gorgeous pink-hued tulips bring in just the right amount of Spring Style!
Is it obvious what my own personal decor style is? I like to mix traditional, old-word,  with contemporary and add personalized bold statement-making accessories (like the black and white pictures I took on our honeymoon to Europe framed as art-work), and always inject a feeling of warmth and coziness. Also  I think it is more than obvious I am a lover of color. It makes our home feel alive, fresh and happy!

Hope you enjoyed this brief peek into our little chateau. Will be back with more updates soon.

Lyra... You are so creative. Everything looks beautiful! And I absolutely LOVE white comforters... ;-) You have inspired me to do a few changes in my bedroom... What exactly, I don't know yet. But I'm trying to really get that Greece blue/white/distressed look. My bedroom is so small that I really need to plan it out right! I look forward to more inspiration from you! <3
