This accent pillow with a chandelier motif was only $14. Amazing how a little money can go a long way style-wise.
Moving on to the living room. I made a few very budget conscious changes here as well. Changed my previously dark cherry wood mirrors on this picture wall by painting them a Ralph Lauren Metallic Silver paint (only $11 a can) Risky to some, but I love the results, and the brightened and more modern finish and how they tie in perfectly to my mirrored table lamp.
Is it obvious what my own personal decor style is? I like to mix traditional, old-word, with contemporary and add personalized bold statement-making accessories (like the black and white pictures I took on our honeymoon to Europe framed as art-work), and always inject a feeling of warmth and coziness. Also I think it is more than obvious I am a lover of color. It makes our home feel alive, fresh and happy!
Hope you enjoyed this brief peek into our little chateau. Will be back with more updates soon.

your home is GORGEOUS! Love all that bold color! WOW!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLyra... You are so creative. Everything looks beautiful! And I absolutely LOVE white comforters... ;-) You have inspired me to do a few changes in my bedroom... What exactly, I don't know yet. But I'm trying to really get that Greece blue/white/distressed look. My bedroom is so small that I really need to plan it out right! I look forward to more inspiration from you! <3
ReplyDeleteThank you ladies! Joyce, honey, thank you so much! I am so happy I was able to inspire you for your own space and I agree with you, a white comforter really softens a room. Let me know if you need any ideas for your Grecian/vintage theme! I love the concept!
