A Poetic Victorian Romance Wedding

Here it is, the full reveal of a  gorgeous and unique wedding for a gorgeous and unique bride.

This is the Design Concept Board I came up with after consulting with the Bride and Groom, and determining exactly the kind of day they were envisioning. A Poetic Victorian Romance Wedding.

I then went to work on making this inspiration into a reality. This young couple was on a strict budget, which required a lot of DIY handiness, creativity and even a little bartering. They were both very hands on, I provided them with the inspiration concept for the invitations and the favors and they went to work making each one.

The foundation of the Decor was based on a "collected over time" feel, vintage collectibles that we personally selected in flea markets and thrift stores. Items such as milk glass vases, porcelain, weathered frames, vintage hardback books and antique tea cup saucer sets. Albeit similar in color scheme and aesthetic, no two items were identical, each lent a personal and unique touch to the entire Design Plan.

Here are a few examples of the  Centerpieces I created for the Round Tables. (special thanks to a hard-working bridal party who helped execute the details.) Pictures taken by myself, C'est La Vie Photography.

For the Long Tables, the centerpieces were Milk Glass vase with simple flower arrangements:

The Head Table:

Due to budget constraints and function, the Dinnerware we selected for the guests was of an elegant disposable clear kind, however the Bride and Groom had Vintage gold-etched plates for their special day.

Entrance Table. I found vintage lace table covers to dress both this table and the favor table that were antique wood secretary desks that came with the beautiful venue. I then selected and framed three of the 1940's Engagement Shoot portraits I took of this couple last year, to bring a very personal touch to this display.   The first frame is a sign in both Spanish and English indicating for the guests to leave their signature in the special Jane Austen Diary book selected in lieu of a traditional guest book, flower pens, antique tea cups and pearls added the perfect finishing touches to this arrangement.

The Favor Table. Hand-made Tea Bag Favors with a clever saying and butter "Biscuits" to have with Tea.

Cake Table. The simple but gorgeous cake was surrounded by Cameo Chocolate covered Oreo cookie favors as an added treat.

Other Details:

 Ceremony Aisle

Ceremony Teacup Floral Arrangement. So lovely.

Bouquet.

Gorgeous Venue: The Women's Club of Glenridge. This Historical Victorian Home provided the ideal backdrop for this lovely wedding. I highly recommend this venue, my sister held her reception here seven years ago, hard to find a space you can completely make your own.

These last pictures were taken with my Blackberry phone. The only pictures I was able to capture of the Letters I made for the entrance doors, as well as my Cameo Earrings I wore in honor of this wedding:)

I hope you have enjoyed the details of this beautiful event that was a labor of love. I am most honored to have been a part of this very special Day. A heart-felt congratulations to my little sister J and her now-husban M!
