A Fall Family portrait session for a lovely family of four - Sep 2020

 Hello friends,

As you know this year has been a whirlwind of huge changes and adaptation for everyone. Part of this "new normal" for me has been a departure from my customary seasonal portrait sessions. For my own personal sense of safety and that of others, I felt taking a break would be best and so my photography subjects since March have been those you find in nature, wildlife and landscapes.

However, recently I had the opportunity to set up a portrait session for a beautiful family of four. We chose a lovely historical outdoor destination and in a very safe and social distanced manner I was able to capture some lovely tender moments of this very special familial bond. An Apple a Day...

On a perfectly crisp Fall November day on a picturesque Upstate New York Apple Orchard farm, a couple of fraternal twins and I had a fabulous and fun portrait session...

Love how these pictures capture their childish innocence, their dynamic energy and their special twin bond. After all, when you have a twin, you have a friend for life...

Siblings, a special bond...

My most recent Portrait Session was an October day in Davidson Mill Pond Park for a beautiful family of three.

The bond between these two siblings was undeniable and so tender...

"Because of you, I will always have a friend."

Out of respect for the privacy wishes of my client, I am unable to share any more images from this special session for now, suffice to say however,  they came out beautifully...

Fall 2017 Maternity and Family Portraits. Book now.

I blinked and just like that this Summer Season is almost over. Did it go by just as fast for you? Hope everyone enjoyed their Summer, I know I did, busy as it was and full of uplifting and motivating activities.

An Autumn Maternity Family Session

My most recent portrait session was for a beautiful growing family of three who will soon be welcoming their fourth member and are over the moon with excitement!

The Romeros', a young, fun-loving family are anxiously awaiting the arrival of a second baby boy which will make their current adorable toddler a big brother.  Wearing a combination of deep cobalt blues - apropos for a baby boy - and set against the lovely contrast of the yellow and oranges of the Fall Foliage, I set out to capture those candid moments shared among this beautiful family during this special time in their lives. . Please enjoy some of my favorite takes from this shoot. 

There is no doubt this gorgeous little boy can't wait to be a big brother!

Congratulations to the Romero family! It was such a pleasure for me to document these lovely family memories. Cannot wait to meet your newest addition!

A Brother and Sister Fall Portrait Session

My last portrait session for the Fall season (because technically today is the official start of the Winter solstice,) was for these two adorable siblings. Kate and Tyler.

I've had these two cuties in front of  my lens in the past when I took Fall Portraits of their entire family some years ago, but the spotlight was definitely on them for this outdoor session.

Their special dynamic is quite evident in the following photos; there is undeniable love, playfulness and a special little bond that only little humans can have for their best friend and eternal play partner.

A " Double-Take" Fall Portrait Session

Twins. Defined by the  Dictionary in the first two instances as:

1) either of two children or animals brought forth at birth. 

2) either of two persons or things closely related to or closely resembling each other.  

I would say the aforementioned is an acceptable definition of this unique pairing of two identical looking people, however, twins are so much more... As much as they are similar in appearance and share an incredible iconic bond, they can equally be uniquely different in personalities, preferences and temper, as the following portrait session may reveal.

My most recent portrait session for these lovely twin sisters was on a perfect Fall afternoon with an idyllic Fall setting. And although at times I had to do a "double-take" while I observed their faces behind my lens to ensure who was who, it just took a quick glance at their different ensembles, different hair-styles and even different smiles to determine that as much as they are identical twins, they are even more so distinctly individual...
